Birds

I came across this photo and it made me chuckle. Not because the poor girl is obviously scared to death, but because of the memory it jogs.

When we were young Mom used to belong to a card club. That meant Dad had to "baby-sit" with us. Being the softy that he was, we could usually talk him into letting us stay up late and/or watch something we shouldn't. (My favorite was watching Hazel while the other two had to go to bed!). Anyway, one night we convinced him to let us watch this VERY scary movie.

My sister, Kathy, and I were perched on the edge of the couch which was folded out into a bed. It was similar to this:

Anyway, we were scared to death, perched on the edge of the couch, covering our heads with our arms(so the birds wouldn't get us), and the couch flipped up and spilled us both onto the floor. OMG we
thought we were goners! I know Dad certainly got a laugh out of it!

I know the older I get the more things bring up memories or make me think of people.

What kind of things jog your memory?
