I STILL want a fall table runner for myself and one for a gift. You may remember this table runner that I made a while back.
I wasn't sure I liked it, and I was asking for opinions. Well, that wasn't very helpful as Tanner was the only one who commented. (Thanks, Tanner) And admittedly, he doesn't know much about quilting. Although he did a great job choosing colors for his house, so I think he knows something about color. Anyway, I took it to school and got a variety of opinions. Then Mom saw it and liked it, so it found a home in Texas.
I went back to the drawing board. I still liked the browns that were in the first quilt, and I had some left, so I started with that. I added a vintage fabric with a brown background and a little orange in it.
Again I machine quilted it in straight lines. I think I can use this one as a gift, although it does look nice on my table with the fall centerpiece.
I'd sure like honest opinions from some of you. What do you think?

I really like this one. The colors are much more fall-like! I have just the place for it if it needs a home!!
I think the table runner is nice. The colors look good together and no one color is overbearing. Most centerpieces used this time of year will have orange in them which will bring out the orange in this just enough. I wouldn't turn it away--
This is much better than the other one (though I also thought it was "fine"). I think the colors in this one would look good in your house.
I liked the other one, but it was too orangie. I like this one better and I think it would look good in your home with your colors.
I like it too!! SOOOOOO much better than the last one! I also have a terrific place for it if it needs a home!! Maybe you could make one for each of us for our "homemade" Christmas!! We could all have one!!
i think they both look great.. i like the brown one better just because orange isn't my thing...
another amazing kreation!
But, more than that I wanted to tell you how wonderful your house looks on your blog!!!! What a cool pic to add! I'm so proud of you!!
I like both of the runners, but I do understand how hard it is to give away something that you don't love yourself.
Speaking of that, I am still holding off on sending your harvest swap gift, as I have to finish the runner I am making for you, and life keeps getting in the way of my stitching. I love it, really love it, so I hope that you do to! I'll let you know when its in the mail...hopefully by the weekend.
Wooly hugs,
Trudy
