Happy Birthday, #1 Son!

Thirty-one years ago today we welcomed our #1 son into the world, red hair, long arms and all! Travis was not a cute baby....I know this is not the thing for a mother to say, but he just wasn't! He had long arms, red complexion, red hair and a scrunched up nose! I just didn't want one friend in particular to see him as I knew what he would say! Anyway, it didn't take long for him to get cute.....or I just got used to him!

Travis was just what big sister Trilby had ordered--a little brother. And she still tries to boss him around, he just doesn't listen as well as he once did! He in turn tries to tell his two younger sisters what to do....not that that works out well for him anymore either!
Now Travis awaits the birth of his first child. I'm hoping for a red headed granddaughter! We just hope he/she looks like his/her mother when he/she is born!

Happy Birthday, Travis. You will always be our favorite son!!

Hi Kim,

I have just spent the better part of an hour just browsing through your delightful blog, getting you know you and your wonderful family!

I believe that we are swap partners for Char's autumn swap, and I wanted to 'get to know' you first. I just love doing swaps, and fall is my favorite time of year. Here in Ontario, the autumn colors are amazing, and although the long cold winter follows, its worth it.

I am already stitchin and planning what to put in your box, and loving every second of it. I will let you know when I get it in the mail, but it will probably be the first of September, to give me time to finish a few crafty gifts.

Love, love, love the cuddly quilts that you made for the baby, and I was envious of the canning that you have already done. I used to do a lot of canning, but have had to drastically cut back due to health issues.

Anyhow, just wanted to say HI to you, good luck with the latest grandbaby...aren't grandchildren just the best? We only have one little grandson who is six months old, but I can't get enough of him.

Talk again soon,
Trudy

Yes, I do still try to boss Travis around. I think that is my right as the oldest child. Right Mom??!! Anyways, we had a great time at supper the other night! Great to see Kerry too. She looks great! Hard to believe we are about a week away!! We are excited! I reminded the secretary again today to find me if the call comes in!!
