What a beautiful weekend we had camping at the Res. The weather was perfect!
Usually the water coming through the gates and down the river looks like this:
But this week they have dammed it up so they could fix the bottom.
They expected to haul 15,000 carp out east where people like to eat them, but estimated that they only took 1500 carp. Other good fish were thrown back in.
It was interesting to see the bottom. It has been about 30 years since they had worked on this area.
Bud smoked a pork loin stuffed with kielbasa.
Yummmmm!
Add an ear of corn and some grilled potatoes and I didn't even need the salad!
Clara, unlike her mother, LOVED the sweetcorn!
How did we ever raise a child who doesn't like sweet corn????? At Clara's age Tasha would just throw it on the floor, and she's never liked it.
Grayson was busy practicing his putting with the best "golf" ball he could find.
We enjoyed s'mores around the campfire before everyone left.
Sunday was back to reality!
