Christmas Quilt Number Three

Clara has a new bedroom in her new house, and shy wanted something PINK for Christmas. So, I tried to oblige!

I LOVE the chevron pattern. Of course I had to add some other colors with the pink.

My inspiration fabric was the light pink background with the flower. It is every other zigzag and the middle border. The back is the same pink as the border fabric. I straight line quilted the zigzags and the flower border, and I meandered the first and third borders. I don't have photos. :(

It matches her "Pepto Bismal" room well! (Her dad's words, not mine.)

I think she likes it!

I hope she loves it for many years to come! In fact, I think it would look great in a dorm room! Just sayin'.

Christmas Quilt Number Two

Well, I was going to remember the name of the fabric I used for Travis & Kerry's quilt, but I forgot, and I can't find the paper........so, onto the photos.

I did large stippling over the inside of the quilt.

And straight lines on the border.

Colby had to get in on the action!

And it is home in their bedroom. Chance is just a cute prop!

The label says who it is to, from me, and the year. I embroider it on my machine and hand sew it on when I do the binding. Hopefully someday their grandchildren will remember me!

I hope they enjoy it for many years to come!

Quilts for Christmas

This year I decided to make a lap quilt for each of my kids and their spouses a lap quilt. With all of the quilts I've made I've only made them their t-shirt quilts. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures taken before Christmas.....because I was sewing right up until Christmas Eve! Anyway, it has been like pulling teeth to try to get them to send pictures. :(

Here is Tasha's quilt:

The fabric is Make Life by Sweetwater for Moda. It is the same fabric that I used for Clara's baby quilt.

As I was playing with it on my design board this summer Tasha kept saying she liked it, so I decided it was hers!

I tried a different bit of quilting on this one as I quilted a flower in the center of each block of four. Then I just did loops around the rest.

It is kind of hard to see in the pictures. I washed the quilt before I gave it to her just to be sure no colors ran. I always use a color catcher.

Sometimes it is hard to get a picture without a kid.

I hope they use and enjoy it for many years!
